About the project

I collaborated with Clara Hahn, founder of Fired Up Space GmbH, on her keynote address for the 2025 People and Culture Festival in Berlin (Oct. 9, 2025).

Fired Up Space is an employment agency in Berlin, a social enterprise funded in part by the German Agentur for Arbeit, that takes an innovative approach to job coaching. Rather than trying to push unemployed people into traditional career paths that may not suit them, it starts with a holistic assessment of its client's interests and skills. This becomes the starting point for supporting them in pursuing employment

After a short interview, I researched and drafted a 27-slide presentation centred on the conference them of 'resilience.' The presentation needed to touch on the conference theme and create an effective narrative about the personal and structural need for Fired Up's novel approach to job coaching today. It had to appeal to both the general public at the conference and multiple high-level funders and stakeholders present, including the Agentur for Arbeit. This meant it had to demonstrate how the agency's services address both a human need, though compelling personal stories, and an economic one, through relevant data and statistics.

Fired Up Space has a very specific brand style (soft colour palette, non-geometric shapes, signature font), emphasising empathy and a humanistic approach, and I incorporated this carefully into the slide design.

The presentation created a narrative that started with Clara's own personal story: her dissatisfaction with the traditional job market, her awareness of this dissatisfaction also being present in many of her peers, to founding Fired Up Space in response.

It demonstrated through carefully researched statistics, that this problem is in fact a structural issue: namely, that young people are increasingly blocked from entering, and dissatisfied with, traditional employment trajectories.

Finally, the presentation offered a description of how Fired Up's services address this structural gap in the changing job market and the needs of job seekers today.

The presentation was finalised together with Clara and the Fired Up team.

I also drafted an accompanying 30-minute speech text in careful collaboration with Clara.

The end result was a big hit at the conference, promoting Fired Up's image in the eyes of both funders and the general public.
